Lake Cuyamaca

We went to Lake Cuyamaca this past weekend with Grandma and Papa. It was very adventurous and very fun. We arrived on Friday with winds gusting at about 50 miles per hour. It was very cold. Temperatures running in the 30's and 40's. It was however very beautiful scenery. We had a wonderful camp site right on the lake. We don't camp as a family that much because the boys go so much with their boy scout troop and I don't like dirt, but we all enjoyed ourselves and thought it was fun. It is apple season in Julian, so we were able to pick apples off the trees. We also collected lots of acorn nuts and some very large pine cones. hopefully we can go back in the spring when it is a little warmer and less windy. beautiful view from our camp site

Saturday morning sky. (we were sitting in the van with hot chocolate)
This is a bear we met (he agreed to have his picture taken)
