Rare Family Photo

I wanted to post this nice photo of our family. We seem to rarely have a nice one taken. I like this one and wanted to share.

Coronado Island

While the kids spent the day with Grandma and Papa at Catalina Island Mike and I snuck in a date and spent the day at Coronado Island. It was a beautiful day outside. We did a lot of walking around , had lunch, checked out the old Coronado resort , shared a giant waffle cone, and took a water taxi around the bay from Coronado to the San Diego coast and back to Coronado again. It was a really nice day.

Catalina Island

The kids spent the day with Grandma and Papa Wegrowski at Catalina Island. It was a very fun, very full day . They went para-sailing. kayaking, eating, exploring, and rode on the glass bottom boat. They had a great time.

The Big 13

I now officially have 4 teenagers. Tanner is now 13 and totally acts like it. He is stubborn yet sweet, charming, argumentative yet loving, determined, cute, and a little gentleman. he has so many plans for the rest of his life, and I have no doubt he will accomplish all of them. We threw Tanner a surprise party for his birthday with a few friends, some pizza, and a video. It was a fun evening. Happy Birthday Tanner. We love you.

4th of July

Our ward hosted their annual 4th of July breakfast, but this year was like no other before. Mike assembled together a little band and put on a patriotic musical program. Tanner and Brandon joined in of course playing keyboard and xylophone. Mike was on trombone. He also had 2 singers, a trumpet player, and someone on the french horn. It took a lot of practicing and they pulled it off. They sounded great.

What a Month

June ended with a nice visit from Grammy and Papa Johnson. We were so excited to see them since we hadn't seen them for over a year (except Madison). It was too short but wonderful to have them.

Palomar Mountain

Tanner's turn. Mike, Tanner and Mike's scout troop went to Palomar mountain for a week full of interesting camp fire cooking, fishing, archery, more fishing, and swimming. What a week.

Father's Day

Everyone deserves one day that is all theirs for all the things they do. Mike deserves more than one. He sacrifices a lot for our kids. He gave every vacation day he had this year to go on all these camp outs with his boys. We love him. Happy Father's Day.

High Adventure

Mike, Brandon, and Parker participated in the ward's annual high adventure trip this year. They went to Lake Isabella for a week full of white water rafting, bike riding, rock climbing, swimming, great food, devotionals, good friends, and new friends.

Girls Camp 2009

According to Madison girls camp is the best week of the whole year. This year girls camp was in June at Big bear. She had a week full of canoeing, hiking, devotionals, bad food, great junk food, no sleep, and wonderful testimonies. She's already to go again.

Idaho or Bust

Madison received a trip to Idaho from Grandma Wegrowski for graduation. So, off she went to spend time with cousins, grandparents, and aunts and uncles. Oh, how I wish I could have gone. She even got to see the newest member of the family born (Ella June Johnson) just hours before she had to catch her plane back home. She had so much fun and loved every minute.

Boy, Oh Boy ,Oh Girl-A Triple Graduation

Brandon, Parker, and Madison have graduated Middle School and are off to High school.
I can hardly believe it myself (some of us are not ready). Madison had the honor of being chosen as the Valedictorian for her school and gave a speech at graduation. She was very nervous, but She did a wonderful job. Brandon was first runner -up (yes, I am a very proud mom). We had a little graduation party for them with some friends, some pizza, and a video.

May Brought Spring Flowers and Mothers day Massages

It was a wonderful Mothers Day. I received my annual massage from my children, a nice dinner out (on Saturday night), and a new video camera that Mike and Tanner get plenty of use out of.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun-Summer 2009

Oh, the summer has gone by so very quickly and I haven't posted anything. I am going to give you the shorthand version as best I can.
